5 Bucket List Elopement Locations – US Edition

August 15, 2022

Have you ever thought about eloping and where you might find the perfect elopement location? There are so many epic places for you to visit right here in the United States! I could name a 100 insane places on my list that I want to visit for elopements but I figured I’d narrow it down just a bit. So, for all of my adventurous couples, I have created a list of my top 5 bucket list elopement locations!

Every place I have written about is so incredibly breathtaking and has so many other cool places to visit within them! If you’re ready to find your dream elopement location or at least get some ideas for it, then be sure to scroll down below for more.

Big Sur

Big Sur is located on the coast of California! Big Sur is closest to San Simeon and Carmel Valley. This location includes so many super cool destinations such as redwoods national park, McWay Falls, Pfeiffer beach, Bixby bridge, and many other remarkable sites. It’s one of the most incredible places in California and I hope to one day have the opportunity to photograph an elopement at this amazing location.

Sequoia National Park

Sequoia National Park is also another incredible park located in California! This National Park is a little closer to Nevada and is adjacent to Kings Canyon National Park. One of the best spots to elope in Sequoia National Park would be, Beetle Rock, Parker group (which is a Giant Forest Loop), and Zumwalt Meadow! This national park has the most incredible spots for photos with a mystical, forest adventure vibe!

Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton National Park is located in Wyoming and is known for its spectacular mountain views and epic trails. This national park is perfect for those who love the mountainside and would love to elope in a location that looks almost picture perfect! The best month to visit would be in September to see the vibrant fall colors that fluctuate through the mountains and the trees.

Maine

Maine is actually one of the most beautiful states to elope in and this one I hope to visit one day for an elopement! It is located in the North Eastern part of the United States. You can look at tons of national parks and local parks like Acadia National Park, Baxter State Park, Kittery point lighthouse, the Cliffhouse, Mount blue state park, and many more incredible locations.

Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is located on the northern side of California and on the Nevada-California line. This is another incredible elopement location that you should consider eloping at! The views are remarkable and would make for endless memories on your wedding day. There is so much to explore at Lake Tahoe!

KIND WORDS

“Kim is the absolute best and I will recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer. We had a destination wedding in Charleston, SC and Kim was so amazing at planning everything and checking in during the planning process many times. She scheduled the day way beforehand which helped the day go so smoothly. She truly thought of everything!! Kim followed us around in South Carolina and had the best ideas. All my husband and I had to do were be in love and Kim took care of the rest. I love looking back at our wedding and engagement photos because they are a perfect snapshot of the love we share and our amazing day. We had a huge sneak peak and loved every single picture. I loved working with Kim and would choose her over and over again!!”
