Classic Midwest Wedding at Union 12

August 12, 2024

Boy, oh boy was this Midwest wedding such a vibe! Alysia and Kam planned a classic all-black and white wedding at one of my favorite wedding venues, Union 12! I got to spend lots of time with the couple during their engagement session as well as Alysia’s boudoir session before the wedding, so by the time their wedding day rolled around, it already felt like reconnecting with old friends. Keep on scrolling to be wow-ed by this timeless Midwest wedding day!

A Classic, Timeless Wedding Theme at Union 12

As a Midwest and destination wedding photographer, I never tire of documenting couples and helping them celebrate their wedding day. For their special day, Alysia and Kam went for a modern yet timeless wedding theme. They chose an all-black and white wedding color palette giving such an upscale look to the whole event. Alysia is a huge fan of bows (but seriously, who doesn’t love these beautiful accessories?) so she incorporated a few into her wedding dress and details to match their classic aesthetic!

One of the most memorable moments of their day took place during their wedding ceremony. No one expected Kam to get emotional, but he was already tearing up before anyone had walked down the aisle! Needless to say, it was a touching moment that brought tears to everyone else around him!

After they said “I Do” Alysia did a quick hairdo change and then the couple hopped on a trolly with their wedding party. They rode around the streets enjoying cocktail hour in one of the most unique ways ever! I’m a big fan of including non-traditional elements in your wedding day. There was so much to love about this Midwest wedding at Union 12! From investing in statement pieces that held personal meaning to incorporating unique ideas Alysia and Kam took their wedding day and elevated the entire vibe while keeping it 100% authentic to who they were! Now, that’s a wedding win if you ask me!
