Elopements

Why You Should Elope

May 16, 2022

Let’s talk about why you should elope! For years and years, eloping wasn’t very common. Most couples preferred a traditional wedding whether it was held at a church or outdoors in a field. Traditional weddings are amazing but eloping is becoming more common now. There are so many benefits to eloping rather than holding a traditional wedding and today I wanted to share a few of them with you.

Scroll down for some of the perks that come with taking the path less traveled!

01. ENJOYING EVERY SECOND OF YOUR DAY

Often enough, couples hold their traditional wedding and it gets hectic, to say the least. Big traditional weddings can take away the fun in your day and all the special moments you might miss with your partner. Eloping allows you to really take in all the moments.

02. INVESTING IN YOURSELVES AND THE EXPERIENCE

Naturally, we humans put others in front of ourselves very often. This also happens when planning a traditional wedding. You look for what might be better for the guests and not for you. Eloping allows you to only think of yourself and your partner and what you really want when you get married. So take this time and really do it for you, because you deserve it.

03. NOT HAVING YOUR DAY GO IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE

Like I said before, Weddings are insanely hectic. There are so many moving pieces when you have a big wedding of 100+ guests. In general, your wedding will fly by so quickly and you won’t have time to really enjoy those few hours of marrying the love of your life. Whereas if you elope your wedding day will go at a good pace for you to enjoy it in the best way possible

04. THE BEST ROUTE FOR INTROVERTS

Traditional weddings are not for everyone (I’m talking to you, introverts!). If you don’t like being the center of attention and want to avoid all eyes on you, eloping is a great option to ease your nerves. Your wedding day should be something you enjoy, not something you dread!

05. YOU WANT AN ADVENTURE

Okay, but who doesn’t love adventure? Eloping gives you the opportunity to visit a place that you’ve never been before. You can combine your wedding with your honeymoon and enjoy those two weeks or a couple of weeks together. Eloping is definitely an insanely cool adventure and you will not regret it.

KIND WORDS

“Kim is the absolute best and I will recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer. We had a destination wedding in Charleston, SC and Kim was so amazing at planning everything and checking in during the planning process many times. She scheduled the day way beforehand which helped the day go so smoothly. She truly thought of everything!! Kim followed us around in South Carolina and had the best ideas. All my husband and I had to do was be in love and Kim took care of the rest. I love looking back at our wedding and engagement photos because they are a perfect snapshot of the love we share and our amazing day. We had a huge sneak peak and loved every single picture. I loved working with Kim and would choose her over and over again!!”
